Bulk Upload Steps

The bulk upload tool allows you to automatically upload documents into specific Directory Entities at scale. Directions on how to use the tool are detailed within the product flow itself. This page will serve as a main overview and a collection of frequently asked questions.

Note: This tool does not help upload a single document across an entire fund or vehicle. We’re actively building a solution for this exact moment now. The current solution is if you’re able to duplicate the single document with the unique filenames outlined belong to disperse them into their correct Directory Entities.

For all Investor Portal customers, an Upload files button will appear on the Directory Entity table and under the Directory dropdown sidebar.

The upload flow is broken down into four step with an optional step to send an email notification.

Upload settings

You will select where your uploaded documents will go in this step. You can select an existing folder, create a new folder, or no folder at all.

Prepare files

Here you are given a downloadable Excel sheet of every existing Directory Entity and Vehicle Entity, alongside their unique IDs.

Within your document creation software, you can upload these unique identifiers and export your documents with the exact file name that the upload tool accepts.

The file name will require at a minimum, the Vehicle ID, Directory Entity ID, and a file name. Examples are included in product.

All of the documents must be compressed into a .zip folder.

Upload files

In this step you will drag and drop your .zip folder into the requested space.

There is a error warning system in place where we will notify you if we notice any errors with unmatched IDs. You will review these details in the next step.

Review & publish

This step will present you with any errors on the specific entities we caught. If there are no errors, you can still review exactly what Directory Entities will be affected by your upload.

There is an action button on this page to Publish to investors and complete the upload!

(Optional) Email notification

The final step here is to optionally send an email notification from AngelList to all the associated Directory People within each Directory Entity. You can customize the subject and body of the email which will go out via portal@angellist.com.
